NACM Top 10 Website Winner 2015

During the annual conference of the National Association of Court Management (NACM), in Louisville, KY, July 12 to 16, 2015, NACM awarded the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims website a Top 10 Website award.

The award is presented "in honor of courts who are working hard to extend and expand access to public records, court services and information online." Courts at every level of government in the United States and internationally were judged in five categories: access to public records, user interface, accessibility (Section 508 compliance), interactive capabilities, and overall impression.

The Court was recognized for the responsive design of its mobile website. The NACM committee stated that the USCAVC mobile website allows users to view the content without regard for the user's operating system, while other courts have developed applications (or "apps") to enable users to view their web content. Apps are operating system specific, e.g., Apple IOS or Android, and accommodating each requires additional programming effort.
